There are so many things to do in Tenby and the wider Pembrokeshire that only a summary is provided here. However there are many excellent visitor websites such as ‘visit Tenby’ and ‘visit Pembrokeshire’ that it is not difficult to get detailed information about places, attractions and event calendars. 

Events, Activities and Places to go

So just a summary of a few of the many exciting things to do and see;

Wales/Pembrokeshire Coastal Path – the Coastal path which is well signed runs right past the front door of Gwynne House, the views when walking in Pembrokeshire and Tenby are truly amazing.

Watersports – in and around Tenby and the wider Pembrokeshire you will find all sorts of water sports including Kayaking, jet skiing, powerboats, surfing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing and may others.

Coasteering – this adrenalin filled sport/activity is available at various places in Pembrokeshire

Boat trips – there are many boat trips available whether to Caldey Island, St Catherine’s, fishing, along the coast, private hire and many more.

Beaches – Tenby, and the wider Pembrokeshire, is blessed with some of the nicest beaches and bays in the world. The Harbour beach in Tenby itself has recently been judged “the most beautiful beach in Europe”. Gwynne House overlooks that beach and is all of 100m away. But there are many other great beaches in Tenby namely North, South and Castle and then not far away Prior Bay Caldey, Penally Beach, Lydstep Haven, Freshwater East, Saundersfoot and many more.

Golf – there are numerous golf courses in Pembrokeshire including Tenby, Penally, Newport and Abertifi (Cardigan)

Horse riding – there are many riding stables in the Pembrokeshire National Park including near to Tenby, and most with very scenic and memorable places to hack out.

Cycling – there are so many cycle routes both on and around the coast and inland and these include the Tramway, Brunel and Celtic Trails, Cardi Bach, Llys y Fran, Castle Martin and parts of various National Routes.

Historic Sites, visits and buildings – including Neolithic burial chamber, Tenby Town Walls and Castle, Caldey Island, St Catherine’s Island and many, many more.

Art – Art Galleries and Museums are found in a number of towns and locations across Pembrokeshire including Tenby.

Annual Events – there are numerous regular and repeating events and too many to mention here, but in Tenby alone see the Caldey Swim (August), Wales Ironman (September), Tenby Blues Festival and Fireworks Display (November), Boxing Day open Water Swim (December).
